The One-Town, One-Product (OTOP) movement of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has come to its third year of adoption by the local government units (LGUs) throughout the country. It has sustained its economic contribution and poster growth in the countryside. The micro, small and medium enterprises are benefitting in this endeavor thru the tangible assistance that the Department of Trade and Industry has extended through its provincial offices. In the Visayas cluster which covers the islands of Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Biliran and Samar the movement is credited to the more than 100 producers that took part in this annual marketing event.
